Hello everyone and welcome to my blog! I decided I needed to step up my technological game so that I can promote LiberateNow, an organization that is just in its infancy. LiberateNow focuses on community empowerment, building social capital and a psychological sense of community to move toward sustainable social change. LiberateNow seeks to combine a research-based approach with cultural and community arts to empirically validate and identify best practices for social action using local assets.
LiberateNow values cultural arts, which can be used with various communities to develop critical consciousness or sociopolitical liberation, in which community members can move past acceptance of their social realities and begin to engage in active change processes.
